DNA Clinic
The DCS Counselling Services DNA Clinic is part of a network of DNA Clinics set up around the UK in association with DNA Clinic Ltd, offering peace of mind and court admissible DNA tests.
The aim of the DNA Clinic is to offer face-to-face consultations and support while providing the most accurate DNA test available.
When undertaking a DNA test at the DNA Clinic, you will be assigned an individual case manager. They will guide you through your DNA test, take your DNA samples (mouth swabs) and offer you impartial support.
You will be given the choice of how you initially recieve your DNA test result, following which a range of counselling options will also be made available to you. Therefore you can choose the level of support you need as an individual or family.
The DNA Test
The DNA test compares the DNA from all the individuals involved, to establish whether a biological relationship exists. A DNA test is the most accurate way to determine whether individuals are related.
The DNA test carried out at the DNA Clinic Laboratories will analyse 16 genetic locations, which is the most accurate DNA test available.
The price of the DNA test (£239 inc VAT) includes the testing of one mother, one father (alleged), one child and the results. Additional persons can be included in the DNA test at a cost of £99 per person.
DCS are now authorised to provide court admissible DNA testing. The difference between this and the Peace of Mind Test is due to the strict chain of identity procedures at the DNA Clinic and strict chain of custody and documentation procedures at the laboratory.
The price of the Court Admissible Paternity / Maternity test is £399 inc VAT.
