Accreditations

The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) is a professional accreditation body providing guidelines, guidance, codes of ethics, training, support and information to organisations and individuals.

DCS is a BACP accredited service and all our counsellors are members of the association, adhering to its Framework of Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

DCS accredited counsellors are members of the UK Register of Counsellors.

Quality in Alcohol and Drugs Services (QuADS) is now the national standard which must be achieved by all agencies who wish to be considered for statutory drugs and alcohol contracts. DCS became QuADS compliant in 2003.

Operating as part of NAADAC, the Federation Of Drug And Alcohol Professionals (FDAP), is the first professional body for people working in the field of drugs and alcohol.

In September 2006, DCS was awarded Investor in People status for another 3 years.
