ANGER MANAGEMENT

Anger is a fundamental human emotion that all human beings have. Whilst some of us experience anger as constructive, others of us will experience it as threatening and destructive.

Anger is both necessary and useful and at its best can be an appropriately assertive response to certain life situations. However, if managed badly it can be destructive.

When suppressed people can feel vulnerable and left open to abuse and attack; when it’s out of control, it can damage relationships, lead to violent and inappropriate behaviour and health problems.

DCS has counsellors who are here to help you if you feel your anger is causing you problems. Working on your Anger Management you will find strategies to more appropriately manage your anger, identify your high risk situations and understand and control the impact of your behaviour on those around you.
