  • Weight Reduction

Hypnosis creates a wonderful environment for a hypnotherapist to interact and communicate directly with our highly receptive and immensely powerful subconscious mind.

Although we stay fully in control of our actions whilst in a hypnotic state (nobody can make us do anything we wouldn’t choose to do) we can and do respond much more readily to positive and beneficial suggestions.

Being in a state of hypnosis is a wonderfully natural, pleasant and relaxing experience. In fact, you may be surprised to know that it is something we do quite normally, dipping in and out of this altered state, every single day of our lives without any conscious effort at all.

Think of how you feel during that ‘in between’ state we find ourselves in just as we are about to awaken or go to sleep – that is a perfect example of a hypnotic state.

During hypnosis, our wider sensory world is narrowed into a state of particular focus and our conscious, analytical and rational mind takes a back seat for a while.

At times, our subconscious mind can hold onto outdated belief systems and responses that once may have served a beneficial purpose, but no longer do so, and this is what a hypnotherapist focuses on resolving.

When we struggle to make rational, logical sense of our actions or responses to the wider world, our subconscious mind always holds the key. Why do we have a phobia? Why do we self sabotage through comfort eating? Why can we not give up a habit that we know is bad for us?

Our subconscious mind provides us with the insights that may have been eluding us and with the help of a skilled hypnotherapist, it is possible to create positive change by reprogramming and reframing unhelpful, outmoded responses.
